MY APPROACH

My approach to reading tarot brings together traditional significations of the Smith-Rider-Waite deck, illustrated by Pamela Coleman Smith, with more immediate and intuitive responses to the archetypes & images themselves. I find that, when things seem foggy, images work best to enhance our imagination and find our way back to solutions we had lost touch with. In this way, I use tarot to reflect back the querent’s emotional & spiritual landscape.

I read from many different types of tarot decks, but always prioritise decks that represent and are made by non-binary, queer bodies & non-white bodies as a way to recenter the narratives of those who have been largely erased from this divinatory art.

I generally ask clients to come to the reading with a specific question so that we can discover new solutions on a challenge or uncover the next chapter in their book. However, tarot cards are wonderful at picking up what is actually going on within, and it often happens that the cards bring up the deeper issue (even when not directly addressed). Whatever you will be showing up with, trust that the cards will highlight with clarity and honesty the challenges you migth be facing now, but also and most importantly, your unique resources to face them with grace and dignity.

Sessions with clients are very conversational and look to the tarot’s images to open up new perspectives and possible pathways that are waiting to be uncovered. Tarot can be a powerful tool for bringing life, priorities, values, and desires into focus, and is an especially useful practice for people who do not have their exact birth data (date, time, location of birth) needed to work with astrology.

Tarot - like other forms of cartomancy- is a conversation with images and archetypes we initiate by the act of shuffling a deck of cards & drawing one or several of them. I started incorporating tarot in my everyday life about a year and a half ago. I draw a card (or several) every morning, as a way to connect with the divine, but also to reflect on and bring more awareness to everyday moments. I fell in love with the process of shuffling cards and reflecting on images to (re)connect with Spirit.

I use Tarot as a regular practice of reflection, meaning-making, and divination in my life. I am currently studying The Living Tarot with T. Susan Chang.
