You’re here because:
You feel a sense of dread, panic, or numbness when dealing with money.
You know you undercharge for your labor but feel terrified to ask for more.
You find yourself avoiding your finances—letting emails pile up or refusing to check your bank balance.
You feel like you’re ‘failing’ at being an ‘adult’
You feel ‘behind’, that something is ‘wrong’ with you
You want more, but even wanting it makes you feel guilty
You know what you should do with money, but the shame stops you every. single. time.
You are a practitioner, artist, or care worker who feels a deep disconnect between the value you provide and the money you receive
You are ready to explore your relationship with money through a somatic, abolitionist, and trauma-informed lens
The unbearable pain is:
Every money decision feels like a threat — and you hide how scared you truly are
You avoid your bank account not because you are irresponsible, but because:
Looking at the numbers feels like looking at proof of your worth
You are ashamed of how small money makes you feel
The truth is, avoidance is not irresponsibility—it’s your body trying not to feel shame.
When we refuse to talk about money in our spaces, movements, relationships, we don’t transcend capitalism, we just outsource the conversation to our individual shame.
For years, you may have judged yourself for procrastinating, for impulsive spending, or for freezing in the face of financial decisions. We are taught to see these as character flaws. But they are nervous system strategies:
Fight: Overworking, hustling, avoiding spending. Your body braced for collapse.
Flight: Impulsive spending, job-hopping. Your body trying to outrun scarcity.
Freeze: Ignoring bills, procrastination. Your body gone numb to survive the threat.
Fawn: Undercharging, over-giving. Your body bartering for its right to exist.
When you learn to see these patterns as somatic intel instead of personal failings, everything changes. You stop fighting your body and start listening to it. You move from a cycle of shame and avoidance to one of presence, choice, and possibility.
What you truly long for :
“I will finally stop abandoning myself.”
"I will become someone who can handle conflict without collapsing.”
“I will stop avoiding money and stop living in panic.”
“I will be someone who can stay — with myself and with others.”
the thing you want more than anything but avoid most
You want to feel safe enough to have a future.
Not rich — safe.
Safe to exhale.
Safe to rest.
Safe to choose without fear.
Safe to imagine something bigger without the dread of losing it.
What you most want but don’t admit to yourselves:
To be held by life instead of needing to outrun it.
But having a future requires being seen.
Being seen requires being responsible.
And responsibility feels like a trap when survival is all you’ve ever known.
What if I told you that scarcity is rarely about not having enough only?
Scarcity protects us from:
receiving
resting
being seen
needing
asking
allowing
deserving
expanding
choosing
having
In other words, scarcity can become a coping mechanism to avoid BEING VULNERABLE.
What We Will Journey Through in Our 3 Hours Together:
This workshop is a carefully curated somatic arc designed to gently guide you from awareness to agency.
WE WILL DO A BREAK !!!!
Part 1: Opening — Money as a Nervous System Story
We begin by grounding in a shared truth: “Money is where capitalism meets the nervous system.” We’ll explore how scarcity shapes our biographies and bodies and why shame is often the first thing that appears in our financial lives. You’ll be guided through a somatic check-in to create a foundation of safety in your body, even if money feels unsafe.
Part 2: The Body Map of Money Scarcity
You will learn to identify the four primary trauma responses (fight, flight, freeze, fawn) as they manifest in your financial life. Through a guided mapping exercise, you’ll discover where money shame lives in your body and which patterns are your default. This is often the moment where decades of self-blame begin to dissolve.
Part 3: Money Avoidance — The Master Pattern
Here, we normalize avoidance as a protective strategy. We’ll uncover the loop of Avoidance → Shame → More Avoidance and introduce a new pathway: Pause → Sensation → Choice. You will learn a simple, powerful 10-second tool to use anytime financial panic strikes, allowing you to stay present without collapsing.
Part 4: Micro-Actions That Build Agency (No Money Required)
Transformation doesn’t happen through grand gestures; it happens in small, consistent acts of presence. You will leave with tangible micro-actions that build capacity and dignity without requiring a single extra dollar—from looking at a bill without solving it to a simple ritual for practicing receiving.
Part 5: Rewriting Money Shame (A Collective Exercise)
We connect our personal struggles to the collective. You will be guided through reflective questions, exploring how scarcity entered your lineage and what part of your money story was never yours to carry. Shame dissolves when it is witnessed with compassion!!!
Part 6: Closing Practice
We close with a guided somatic ritual to integrate the work, so you don’t feel like you are the only one doing this work.
The most undeniable transformation you will feel after this workshop
Your body stops going into freeze when money comes up.
It becomes possible to:
open the banking app without bracing
make a decision without spiraling
receive money without guilt
hold desire without shame
think about the future without collapsing
The physical shift I want to see in you:
Your stomach unclenches.
Your chest softens.
Your breath deepens.
Your jaw unlocks.
You feel capable in your body — not overwhelmed.
You will finally be able to look at your money —without fear, without collapse, without shame —& make choices that give you back your future.
Why This Workshop Is Different
I am not teaching budgets; I am teaching capacity.
I am not offering investment tips; I am offering tools for nervous system sovereignty.
This work is rooted in an abolitionist understanding that your financial struggles are not isolated personal failings. They are symptoms of a system that profits from your shame and disconnection. By turning toward your body, you reclaim a power that no economic downturn can touch.
You will leave this workshop not with a rigid financial plan, but with something far more valuable (to me!): a compassionate language for your experience, a set of tangible tools to use when you feel overwhelmed, and a deeper sense of your inherent worth, independent of the numbers in your account.
You deserve to exist even when you’re scared. You deserve to build safety at your own pace. Let’s begin.
A 3-part nervous system map back to yourself so you can face and tend to your emotional, relational and material avoidance
